While it still astounds me that I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a wedding in India for a good friend, I won’t go into it too much. In short, it was so amazing that I felt small and overwhelmed at first! Seriously, it will go down as probably one of the most epic weddings I will ever shoot in my life! So So happy that I was chosen to take part in it as a photographer. Truly. There are no words to express how thankful I am to Hitha and Sri and their families for allowing me to be there.
I was a little intimidated at first by the 5 other photographers and huge videography crew with tons of equipment, but even with my complaints about them (jeans and a playboy t-shirt for a wedding?!) I quickly realized that we all just had different styles. They decided to focus on their style of shooting and I decided to do it my way and had to stop looking at it as a competition.
So the day I arrived in Hyderbad (and after a couple of hours of sleep) the festivities soon began. The first day was filled with tours of the city and with a beautiful welcome reception for all the guests at the wonderful hotel. Everyone was so happy and excited to be there. The drinks were great, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was super fun!
This was only the start!
Traffic in Hyderabad is legendary and scary.
The pool was awwweeesome. And FRIGID.
I love this picture of Hitha’s father while he prepares for his speech.
This is what I had to deal with ALL. THE. TIME. It made me think that Hitha is on a reality show in India.
The food the rest of the time, was so incredible.
