Art of Art.
Its back! I started this project last year and it was such a fantastic project. I got to work and collaborate with other artists, entrepenuers, designers, photographers, etc.
There was no way I wasn’t going to do it this year either.
First up this year, incredibly talented artist [Drake Labry]. I saw Drakes art though a mutual friend of ours and fell in love instantly. He has such a unique style and vision. From the Bayous of Louisiana, Drake studied in New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina relocated him to Baton Rouge. After some time abroad, he landed in Los Angeles and has been taken the art world by storm. His work resides in private collections as well as the collections of Michael Robertson, Nadine Carter Russel, the LSU Foundation, and the Fredrick R. Weisman Art Foundation.
What was so great about working with Drake is that he was game for anything. I mentioned that I got new smoke bombs that I had never tried to photograph with and he went HELL YEAH LETS DO THIS, which is pretty much the best thing a photographer can hear before a shoot.
His art is incredible. His personality is just as incredible. I can’t wait to see what ideas he brings up next. And I can’t wait to show you the new piece on my wall from him.
And now, here is the amazing piece of art the Drake gifted me.
It. Is. So. Incredible.
