I’m starting a new project in 2014.
A creative collaboration.
It is pretty simple. I’m working with various photographers, videographers, actors, dancers, artists, painters, drawers, writers, photographers; creative people to collaborate with. I use my medium, photography, to take their portrait. And they will pay it back, in their own unique way. That could be from taking my picture to showing me a dance move.
Its time to start meeting more creative people out there. A fellow photographer [Anna] gave me the idea, as she is doing something similar. This is my take on it. I think it will definitely open up lots of great stories to tell.
If you are a creative person, especially in the Los Angeles area, and would like to get involved or nominate someone that would be interested [Contact Me]. Let’s get this journey started.
First up, we have [Jeremy Lucido]. Jeremy is one of the first photographers I met when I first move to Los Angeles two years ago. One of the nicest photographers I have had the pleasure of meeting. His photography is definitely more on the provocative side, focusing mostly on men, but his portraiture is stunning. His work is incredibly popular in Los Angeles and he is known to throw a fun event here and there at popular clubs. From his website:
“Lucido eventually accepted a job as a video editor for an online adult production company. He quickly grew in the industry and became the lead photographer as well as Director for several films. Now the Production Manager he continues his work in the industry.”
It was while working in the adult film industry that led Jeremy to create his own popular magazine. He even recently got published with his first editorial art book. You will find his portraits of me at the end of this post (no I am not naked calm down). But he did get me to show more than I am used to. But, that is what is wonderful about working with other creatives, they definitely open you up to new possibilities and visions.
It was great hanging out with Jeremy. His studio/loft in downtown Los Angeles is absolutely incredible and an amazing place to photograph him in. His cats joined in on the fun in a few of them.
His love for portrait photography is stronger than ever and he is currently available for portrait, erotic, event and editorial photography. Please email jeremylucido (at) gmail.com for a quote.
and here are Jeremy’s portraits of me
Of course I had to get in my Panda Onesie.
He has titled the series “Sad Panda” which fits perfectly.
